Changing the News Update Distribution Channels

To change the news update distribution channel, firstly navigate to the Distribution Channels option underneath the IRM Newsroom module.

You will be taken to the below page which displays the table of announcement types and also shows where they are currently set to release to, once approved.

At the bottom of the list of types you will see News Update, click on the News Update text to view the settings for that announcement type.

Under each of the tabs you will have the option to turn that distribution channel on, to do this select the Yes option under the respective tab.

When Yes is selected you will also see the cross change to a tick in the tab heading.

Be sure to save any changes that you make by clicking the save button at the top of the page.

Important: If you select Yes for the Website or Email channels you will also need to select the pages within the website and/or the subscriber groups in the Email section that you want to release to. You can do this by simply selecting the page or email subscriber group from the menu.

To select multiple pages or subscriber groups hold down Ctrl while you select them.

Please note: To authorise and release to your social media channels you will need to make sure that you have registered these with IRM Newsroom. For more information on linking your social media accounts with Newsroom please contact your Account Manager.
