Adding a new page to your Website

HQi allows you to add, rename and delete pages within your website navigation.




  1. HQi allows you to add, rename and delete pages within your website navigation.
  2. Choose the section or page you would like to add your new page, then select the green + button.
  3. A pop up box will appear (see below). From here you can select what type of page you would like to create.


Page Types:

  A List Page refers to pages that are made up of PDF’s. A good example of this page is Half Yearly & Quarterly pages.

  A Flat Page refers to pages made up of text and may also contain images and hyperlinks. A good example of this page is the Company Overview page.

  A Gallery Page is a page that displays images in a grid style and includes the enlarge effect once images are selected.

  A Redirect Page refers to pointing the page directly to an external URL or page within your website rather than a page with content or PDFs.

Setting up a Flat Page




  1. Once you have selected Add Flat page after following the steps above (2.1), you will be transferred to the following page (below). In the Page Title field add the name of your new page. This will appear within HQi and on your website.
  2. “Add New” Link Text remains as the default.
  3. Show Page in Menu – if this button is selected then the page will show within your website navigation instantly. If left un-ticked then the page will not show in the navigation until the option is selected.
  4. Once these fields are populated select the SAVE button. You can now upload content to the page (see below 2.2 for instructions).

 
If you have selected the Show Page in Menu button then the new page will now appear within the drop down and left hand navigation of your website.

Setting up a List Page



 

  1. When you select a List page after following the steps above (2.1), you will be transferred to the following page (below). In the Page Title field add the name of your new page. This will appear within HQi and your website.
  2. “Add New” Link Text remains as the default.
  3. Show Page in Menu – if this is selected then the page will show within your website navigation instantly. If left un-ticked then the page will not show in the navigation until the option is selected.
  4. Once these fields are populated click SAVE. You can now add content to the page (see below for instructions).

 
If you have selected the Show Page in Menu button then the new page will now appear within the drop down and left hand navigation of your website.

Setting up an Image Gallery




  1. When you select a Gallery Page after following the steps above (2.1), you will be transferred to the following page (below). In the Page Title field add the name of your new page. This will appear within HQi and your website.
  2. To add images to your gallery, please refer to section 3 of this Manual.

Setting up a Redirect Page



 

  1. When you select a Redirect Page after following the steps above (2.1), you will be transferred to the following page (below). In the Page Title field add the name of your new page. This will appear within HQi and your website.
  2. Under Link Type you can select if you wish to redirect the page to a different page within your website or to an external URL.

    If you wish to link to another page within your website, select the Page button from the drop-down menu, choose the page that you would like to redirect to.



  1. If you wish to link to an external URL select the “URL” button near Link Type and then enter the URL in the field shown below.

    Please note: Do not add “http://” as this is already added automatically.


  2. If you wish the page to open in a new window when viewed, select the box next to “Open New Page”.
  3. If you wish the page to display within the navigation menu of your website, select the box next to “Show page in menu”.
